The Starforce saga continues

[...]we were quite disturbed to discover that the company that makes Starforce provided a working URL to a list of pirated GalCiv II torrents. I’m not sure whether what they did was illegal or not, but it’s troubling nevertheless and was totally unnecessary.
For those not in the know, Stardock made the conscious decision not to include any form of copy protection on the Galactic Civilization II game discs. Apparently this did not go over well with the makers of Starforce, the infamous malware/rootkit disquised as copy protection. I’ve mentioned this malware before, and a by the looks of it, probably will again.
Once again - stay way clear of any games that contain this malware, lest your PC crash and burn.
