New PC

As previously mentioned, my old PC just kicked the bucket. Sad as that may be, it was probably time to retire it anyway. I had already more or less decided that my next PC would be a dual core 64 bit machine, with a decent graphics card. Now, a self respecting geek would naturally buy the parts and build one… But then I stumbled upon the Dell XPS-700. Everything I want, in a sexy design too! The fact that I get a discount on dells due to the company I work for being a big Dell customer helps too. Will probably order one soon - I’ll keep you posted (as if you care!)
Update 19.09.2006: Placed the order today! Some upgrades from the default config (512MB nVidia 7900GTX among others). Expected delivery, 03.10.2006! Woohoo!
Update 27.09.2006: Got an SMS today from Dell’s logistics partner - the box will be delivered tomorrow afternoon!

I’ve just bought a new Dell too. Not a snazzy gaming rig, just as a second PC. But I’m very pleased with it so far. :) Just need to install Ubuntu on it now…
