Plugins

So to speed things up a bit I setup WP-Cache, a caching plugin for WP. This meant disabling a few other plugins since the caching screws up some statistics and stuff. So postviews are gone, as is the referral tracker.

All worth it though, seems to really speed up the site quite a bit. WP and it’s plugins are horribly inefficient with database IO, so reducing the number of queries to render a page is definitely a good thing.
