Every once in a while I get a “that would be cool” moment and decide to start hacking away at something. Hacking, as in programming/soldering/fiddling. No machetes involved. Well, sometimes. So I thought I’d present the ones I’m currently working on.
Status: planning and basic infrastructure. The idea behind this project, is to combine a simple, classical social networking engine with genealogy tools. Not usable yet - hell it probably won’t even render a page.
Started coding on what will soon become Skynet and take over the world! Or, at least provide presence info for Jabber/GTalk accounts. Needs some work, added features, and increased reliability! Using jabber.org as endpoint was probably a bad idea… It keeps getting disconnected. Need to work in some auto-reconnect code or something.
